About Juddabug Whippet Couture

Juddabug Whippet Couture launched in Melbourne during the winter of 2011. It all started when I began making fleece coats for fun to support my role as the President of the Whippet Racing Club and providing coats for the raffle draws. By 2012, I was the sole creator, specialising in warm coats for whippets whilst also working full time as a zoo keeper.

My attention to detail and word of mouth has spurred the growth of the Juddabug Whippet Couture coats.  Originally I made custom fleece coats and often had waiting lists of over 6 weeks.  In 2016, I expanded the range to include new waterproof and quilted designs. In 2024, I then introduced the much loved Tartan range and introduced our first price increase since 2016 - a total of $5 per coat - despite our costs to manufacture having tripled in that time.

I have owned 6 whippets since 2010 and this alone has helped to fine tune the design of the coats to ensure they will fit all whippets perfectly.

My beautiful whippet boy, Juddy (Neut Ch. Jenrana Carlton Pride JC) was the inspiration behind the Juddabug name. He unfortunately recently passed at 13 years of age but his stamp on the design of the coats and the business will continue.
